The chart above allows us to see the states on a scale of sorts when it comes to property crime rate. You will note that although the state with the highest rate is a blue state- democratic leaning state - there is a consistent gathering of red states- republican leaning - nearing the higher crime rate section of the chart. Red states occupy 13 of the top 20 spots.
